The PIXCI® A310 video frame grabber acquires images from monochrome or component RGB color, interlaced or progressive scan, from cameras or other video sources, with formats that include RS-170, CCIR, RS343, VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA, SXGA, SXGA+, WXGA, WSGA+, UXGA, and HDTV. HDTV capture resolutions available include 1920x1080p, 1920x1080i, 1280x720p, 720x480p, and 720x576p.

The PIXCI® A310 uses a PCI Express x4 slot for capturing up to 30 bits per pixel of high resolution RGB video. 64-bit memory addressing allows capturing image sequences directly to PC memory for minutes or hours. The optional XCAP-Std program captures image sequences to hard drive, and performs a wide range of image processing, measurement, and tracking functions.

The XCAP-Lite imaging program, provided at no charge with the PIXCI® A310, provides software control of image capture and all board functions using an intuitive Capture & Adjust dialog.

The PIXCI® A310 uses a programmable pixel clock with range of frequencies from 12 to 165 MHz. Video formats with vertical sync frequencies less than 40 Hz are not supported. Separated VSYNC or an external sync separator must be used to support video formats having field rates less than 40 Hz. Acquire from interlaced or progressive analog video, monochrome or component RGB with sync on green (default), or separate horizontal and vertical sync inputs.

Supported Resolutions Include: 1920x1080p, 1920x1080i, 1280x720p, 720x480p, 720x576p, and others.

Maximum PCIe Data Rate: 700 Megabyte per second sustained data transfer.
